(Late) Shri K L Rajgarhia was the founding Chairman of the Rajgarhia Group. He started his entrepreneurship career with his elder brother Padma Shree (Late) Shri R L Rajgarhia by co-founding Rajgarhia Brothers in the early 1950’s.
With humble beginnings of running dealerships of various Birla Products, they took the leap by setting up their first paper mill in the industrial area of Faridabad. Since then they together and later in their own respective group companies had established and successfully ran over 21 group paper mills along with interests in other industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Petroleum, Automobile Dealerships, Corrugation Units, Hot and Cold Rolling Mills, Abrasives, Refractories, Insulations and various other future-focused projects.
He is the receiver of the Highest Civilian Honour to a non-resident by The President of Bulgaria; Laureate de Bitrov for his contribution to the Pharmaceutical sector.
Padma Vibhushan Shri V. Krishnamurthy is one of the most well-known and respected personalities around the globe. His immense contribution towards the Indian Public Sector by turning around many sick public sector units into immensely profitable and technologically advanced public sector companies has been widely recognised and appreciated.
Owing to his credibility to turn around the fortune of companies, he has to his credit of being the Chairman of some well-known PSUs like BHEL, MUL, SAIL, NCPEDP, NMCC etc. He has also served as a member to National Advisory Council, PM’s Council on Trade & Industry, PM’s Trade & Economic Relations Committee, PM’s Energy Coordination Committee, PM’s High Level Committee on Manufacturing and Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry during 1977 and 1980.
He is also the recipient of the Highest Civilian Honour in India, Padma Vibhushan, from The Hon’ble President of India and has been conferred the title of “The Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun” in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the promotion of bilateral economic relations and understanding of Japan in India.
Along with being associated with the Government of India, he was also one of the founding Independent Directors of RULL and contributed immensely to the organisation with his vast knowledge and vision. He shortly thereafter formally resigned from his post as he was appointed as the Advisor to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India but his blessings and good wishes still remain with us today.
With experience of more than 30 years, Mr. Alok Rajgarhia is one of the most eminent individuals in the manufacturing industry. An alumnus of Hans Raj College, Delhi University, he entered the industry at a young age of 17 and was singlehandedly managing the paper mills in the Rajgarhia Group of Industries and played a key role in assisting his father, Shri K L Rajgarhia, in the expansion of their enterprise.
He has 18 years of work experience in the automobile industry with Maruti Udyog limited is fondly referred to as the Turnaround Expert within the Group industries, as he has to his credit the ability of turning loss making enterprises into profitable ones in the shortest span of time.
An Event Management professional and a gifted artist, Mrs. Udita Rajgarhia took voluntary retirement from the entertainment industry and joined her family business in 2012. A hands-on manager, since then, she has been actively engaged in taking key managerial decisions and is known for not shying away from lending a hand even in production related issues. A perfectionist at heart, she looks into the minute details of production ranging from strict adherence to the SOPs, quality control, efficiency and most importantly discipline.
Mr. Madhav Rajgarhia is the Director and Chief Executive Officer of Raaj Unocal Lubricants Ltd. An alumnus of The London School of Economics (University of London), he joined Mr. Alok Rajgarhia at Raaj Unocal Lubricants Ltd. as an executive officer, and paved his way up the ladder to become the youngest CEO in the lubricant industry at the age of 22. An entrepreneur at heart since his college days, he has successfully completed various business projects on carbon credits and healthy fast foods. He also did a splendid project on Chlorophyll-a, which was aimed at providing a commercially viable substitute to plastic bags. This venture won accolades at many national economic summits. His entrepreneurship venture on climate change was featured at the United Nations Summit held in Ahmedabad, India, in 2009.
For his outstanding contribution to the petroleum industry, Mr. Madhav Rajgarhia was felicitated with the award of the “Most promising SME of the year 2015” by the Hon’ble Union Minister at FICCI auditorium. He was also nominated for the prestigious India Mart Young Leaders of Tomorrow Awards by Economic Times in 2013 and 2014 respectively. To further strengthen his business skills and keep pace with the dynamically changing industry environment, he is currently pursuing Management in Family Business Programme from the prestigious Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
